The ball surface can be treated<br \/>\nwith supersonic tungsten carbide spraying or carbonyl-process thermal spraying<br \/>\nwith nickel-based nano powder. This treatment can increase the surface hardness<br \/>\nof the ball to above 60 HRC.<\/p>\n<p>The valve seat is manufactured from hard materials or hard alloy overlay. This<br \/>\nenables the valve to withstand wear, particle erosion and high-velocity media<br \/>\nduring opening and closing. Flexible graphite packing and stainless steel<br \/>\nflexible graphite spiral-wound gaskets allow the valve to operate reliably under<br \/>\nhigh-temperature conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Metal-seated ball valves are commonly used where soft-seated valves cannot meet<br \/>\nthe requirements for temperature, abrasion or media erosion.
