Titanium Plug Valve
WDL Titanium Plug Valve provides fast quarter-turn isolation in compact process piping for seawater and desalination plants and chlor-alkali processing. Connections, trim and operation are selected to the project conditions.
Description
Titanium Plug Valve
WDL Titanium Plug Valve provides fast quarter-turn isolation in compact process piping for process systems that need corrosion resistance in seawater, chlorides and many oxidizing media. Titanium forms a stable passive film in many chloride-rich and oxidizing process streams.
Design Options
| Item | Available specification |
|---|---|
| Material | Titanium Grade 2, 3, 5, 7, 12 or project grade |
| Function | fast quarter-turn isolation in compact process piping |
| Connections | Flanged, threaded or welded |
| Operation | Lever, gearbox, pneumatic or electric actuator |

Typical Applications
- Seawater and desalination plants
- Chlor-alkali processing
- Hypochlorite service
- Frequent on-off service
- Chemical transfer and distribution
Selection Notes
Dry chlorine, hydrofluoric acid and strongly reducing media require separate review; titanium is not universal for every acid.
Confirm the plug style, cavity control, sleeve or seat material, operating torque and allowable leakage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why select Titanium for this plug valve?
Titanium forms a stable passive film in many chloride-rich and oxidizing process streams. Final suitability depends on the complete process conditions and the selected valve trim.
What information is needed for selection?
Provide the size, pressure rating, medium composition, concentration, temperature, connection standard, operating method and required quantity.
Send the process datasheet to WDL for material review, dimensional confirmation and quotation.
