Titanium Check Valve
WDL Titanium Check Valve provides automatic prevention of reverse flow for seawater and desalination plants and chlor-alkali processing. Connections, trim and operation are selected to the project conditions.
Description
Titanium Check Valve
WDL Titanium Check Valve provides automatic prevention of reverse flow for process systems that need corrosion resistance in seawater, chlorides and many oxidizing media. Titanium forms a stable passive film in many chloride-rich and oxidizing process streams.
Design Options

Typical Applications
- Seawater and desalination plants
- Chlor-alkali processing
- Hypochlorite service
- Pump discharge protection
- Backflow prevention in process lines
Selection Notes
Dry chlorine, hydrofluoric acid and strongly reducing media require separate review; titanium is not universal for every acid.
Confirm installation direction, minimum flow, cracking pressure, slam risk and allowable pressure drop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why select Titanium for this check valve?
Titanium forms a stable passive film in many chloride-rich and oxidizing process streams. Final suitability depends on the complete process conditions and the selected valve trim.
What information is needed for selection?
Provide the size, pressure rating, medium composition, concentration, temperature, connection standard, operating method and required quantity.
Send the process datasheet to WDL for material review, dimensional confirmation and quotation.
