Titanium Discharge Valve
WDL Titanium Discharge Valve provides controlled draining from reactors, vessels and process tanks for seawater and desalination plants and chlor-alkali processing. Connections, trim and operation are selected to the project conditions.
Description
Titanium Discharge Valve
WDL Titanium Discharge Valve provides controlled draining from reactors, vessels and process tanks for process systems that need corrosion resistance in seawater, chlorides and many oxidizing media. Titanium forms a stable passive film in many chloride-rich and oxidizing process streams.
Design Options
| Item | Available specification |
|---|---|
| Material | Titanium Grade 2, 3, 5, 7, 12 or project grade |
| Function | controlled draining from reactors, vessels and process tanks |
| Connections | Flanged or welded vessel and pipeline connections |
| Operation | Manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic actuator |
| Design basis | Project drawing, vessel interface and applicable pressure standard |
Typical Applications
- Seawater and desalination plants
- Chlor-alkali processing
- Hypochlorite service
- Reactor bottom discharge
- Tank draining and batch transfer
Selection Notes
Dry chlorine, hydrofluoric acid and strongly reducing media require separate review; titanium is not universal for every acid.
Confirm the mounting orientation, dead-space limit, crystallization tendency, solids size and vessel nozzle dimensions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why select Titanium for this discharge valve?
Titanium forms a stable passive film in many chloride-rich and oxidizing process streams. Final suitability depends on the complete process conditions and the selected valve trim.
What information is needed for selection?
Provide the size, pressure rating, medium composition, concentration, temperature, connection standard, operating method and required quantity.
Send the process datasheet to WDL for material review, dimensional confirmation and quotation.
