Duplex Gate Valve
WDL Duplex Gate Valve provides full-bore on-off isolation with low pressure loss when open for seawater and desalination systems and offshore and marine pipelines. Connections, trim and operation are selected to the project conditions.
Description
Duplex Gate Valve
WDL Duplex Gate Valve provides full-bore on-off isolation with low pressure loss when open for process systems that need high strength with resistance to chloride pitting and stress-corrosion cracking. Duplex stainless steel combines austenitic and ferritic phases for chloride service that requires higher strength than 300-series stainless steel.

Typical Applications
- Seawater and desalination systems
- Offshore and marine pipelines
- Pulp and paper processing
- Main process isolation
- Full-bore pipeline service
Selection Notes
Choose 2205, 2507 or another grade from chloride level, temperature, pressure and required pitting resistance.
Gate valves are normally selected for isolation rather than continuous throttling; confirm wedge, seat and stem design.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why select Duplex Stainless Steel for this gate valve?
Duplex stainless steel combines austenitic and ferritic phases for chloride service that requires higher strength than 300-series stainless steel. Final suitability depends on the complete process conditions and the selected valve trim.
What information is needed for selection?
Provide the size, pressure rating, medium composition, concentration, temperature, connection standard, operating method and required quantity.
Send the process datasheet to WDL for material review, dimensional confirmation and quotation.
